DESCRIPTION
Ride-Rite air spring kits are installed between the frame of the vehicle and the suspension, providing load support through the use of air pressure.
Average install time is 1–2 hours.Look for many no-drill kits which utilize the factory holes and can be installed in half the time or less.
Your Ride-Rite kit comes with everything you need for quick installation, including brackets, air springs, hardware, and air line and separate valves for manual inflation. Installing your Ride-Rite air springs should only take about one or two hours. No-drill kits install even faster. Additional Chevrolet and GMC compatible air accessories can be bought separately.
Why make VKNTECH air springs your first choice? Firestone built the first pneumatic suspension device in the 1930s and has since grown into a leading manufacturer of commercial air springs worldwide. Our air springs are precision engineered with expertise from millions of commercial vehicle miles and built from commercial-grade steel plates with rolled crimp design. All products go through rounds of intense testing to deliver durability you can count on.
air spring, load-carrying component of an air suspension system used on machines, automobiles, and buses. A system used on buses consists of an air compressor, an air-supply tank, leveling valves, check valves, bellow, and connecting piping. Basically, an air-spring bellows is a column of air confined within a rubber and fabric container that looks like an automobile tire or two or three tires stacked on top of one another. The check valves admit additional air to the bellows from the air-supply tank to maintain vehicle height when the load is increased, and the leveling valves vent excess air from the bellows when the vehicle rises because of unloading. The vehicle thus remains at a fixed height regardless of load. Although an air spring is flexible under normal loads, it becomes progressively stiffer when compressed under an increased load. Air suspension was introduced on some luxury cars in the late 1950s, but it was dropped after several model years. Recently, new leveling systems have been developed for passenger cars, including air-adjustable rear shock absorbers; some air-spring systems operate without an air compressor.
